"Most gynecologists get the same good training, but
it’s the human part that sets Dr. Leao apart from the rest. She is able to meet my first need, the human part of me, and that
is my fear. She is always able to bring me back to reality and explain
all of the answers to my ‘what if’ questions.
"At one point I had a bleeding problem and at my age I shouldn’t
have had a period. Dr. Leao was able to diagnose my problem and
fix it very successfully. But the greatest thing she did for me
was keep me thinking straight because I was so full of fear.

entire GYN clinic. I remember when I was late for my first visit
-- and they did not demonize me. It was at a time when I was very
vulnerable of being hurt. Thankfully, they were very considerate
and fit me in. They did not punish me and make me wait a long time.

her medical skills, but her ability to deal with someone who is
hurting, not so much physically but mentally. And she is able to
do that with me before she ever examines me.
